First of all, a hart is a deer, specifically the fully mature stag (male) in a herd of red deer (closely related to the American elk). In medieval Europe, the hart was the biggest, toughest wild animal and the most prestigious to hunt with the exception of the extremely elusive unicorn.

As for the principal of the Red Hart Network, before becoming involved in design, web development and photography, I spent many years in sales, marketing and product development in industry including:

• Working on website development and online store administration for a custom manufacturer and distributor of specialty clothing.
• Product development, warranty, sales and customer service.
• Retail sales and management in New York City.
